Privacy Statement
The business “Junicorn” (hereinafter “Junicorn,” “we,” “us,” “our,” etc.) is the owner of the website (www.)ivanacrncic.com (the “website”). We have created this privacy statement to demonstrate our commitment to our users’ privacy and to inform them about the ways personal data is collected and processed on this website.
Please read this Statement carefully to learn how we collect, process, protect, or otherwise use your personal data.
Data Protection Officer
Junicorn is a business registered in the Republic of Croatia. You can contact our Data Protection Officer with any questions or complaints regarding our privacy policy or the handling of personal data via email.
Data collection
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or by means of one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that individual.
We collect your personal data only when you voluntarily provide such information. We collect data about you when you fill out a form or when you sign up for the email newsletter.
You should keep in mind that non-personal information and data may be automatically collected through our web servers or by using “cookies.”
Examples of information about your use of the site include: most visited and viewed pages and links on our website, number of forms completed, time spent on the site, most popular keywords that lead users to our site, your IP address, information collected through cookies, your device data such as hardware settings, system activity, browser type, etc.
Data processing
We use the data obtained about you for one or more of the following purposes:
- For the personalization of your user experience (the information collected helps us better respond to your individual needs);
- To improve our website (we are constantly striving to improve our website's offerings based on the feedback we receive from our visitors);
- To establish a primary channel of communication with you.
- For the occasional sending of emails (regarding the occasional receipt of news (if you wish), updates, information about similar products or services, etc.)
Newsletter
If you would like to receive newsletters about our offers, new website content, sweepstakes, and contests, you can opt in by simply entering your email address in the form upon registration. An email confirmation of the subscriber’s newsletter sign-up will be sent to the email address registered by the subscriber before the first newsletter is sent, as part of the double opt-in process. This confirmation is used to verify that the email owner, as the subscriber, consents to receiving the newsletter. Personal data collected for the purpose of newsletter subscription will be used exclusively for sending our newsletter.
To manage newsletter sign-ups and deliveries, we use the MailerLite platform. The MailerLite system records newsletter opens and link clicks to provide statistical data on which content was of interest to newsletter recipients.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by selecting the provided opt-out option in the newsletter you receive or by contacting info@ivanacrncic.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to its withdrawal. Receiving the newsletter is voluntary, and the data subject will not suffer any negative consequences if they do not give consent or if they withdraw it.
In the event of withdrawal of consent, you will no longer receive our newsletter, and the email addresses that have been unsubscribed will remain on our unsubscribe list for a maximum of 5 years from the date of unsubscription in order to demonstrate compliance with the legal obligations that Junicorn has under applicable law.
Third-party links
On our website, we do not offer or provide any third-party services or products.
Protecting your data
To protect the personal data you submit through this website, we use physical, technical, and organizational security measures. We continuously upgrade and test our security technology. We limit access to your personal data to only those employees who need to know that information to provide you with certain benefits or services. In addition, we educate our employees on the importance of data confidentiality and the protection of your privacy.
Data storage and retention period
All data are stored in databases and repositories in the Republic of Croatia, except for the newsletter recipient database, which is located in the MailerLite system on servers within the EU. We will not transfer or store the stored data in countries outside the European Union.
We keep the personal data we collect about you in a secure environment. Your personal data is protected against unauthorized access, disclosure, use, modification, or destruction by any organization or individual.
The data collected for the above-mentioned purposes will be stored only as long as is necessary for those purposes. Your personal data will not be kept in a form that allows you to be identified for longer than Junicorn reasonably deems necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected or processed. Junicorn will retain certain personal data for the period required by law or any regulation that obligates Junicorn to retain the data.
If you have given us consent, we will process your personal data until you withdraw your consent. If you raise a well-founded objection to the processing of personal data based on legitimate interest, we will not process your personal data in the future.
If a judicial, administrative, or other proceeding has been initiated, personal data may be stored until the conclusion of that proceeding, including any possible period for exercising legal remedies.

You can also request information about: the purpose of the data processing; the categories of personal data being processed; who else outside our company has received your personal data from us; the source of the personal data (if you did not provide it directly to us); and how long we will retain the data. You can ask us to stop using your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In many countries, you have the right to file a complaint with the relevant data protection authority if you are not satisfied with the way we handle your personal data. If it is technically feasible, upon your request, we will send your personal data to you or transfer it directly to another controller.
If you submit a request to us to send your personal data, we will comply with that request free of charge. If we cannot comply with your request within a reasonable timeframe, we will notify you of the date on which we will comply with the request. If for any reason we cannot fulfill your request, we will send you an explanation.
Personal Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority by email within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, including the scope of the breach, the data affected, any potential impact on our services, and our planned measures to secure the data and limit any harmful effects on individuals.
We will not send you an injury notice in the event of:
- if technical and organizational security measures (such as encryption) have been applied to the personal data affected by the personal data breach, making the data unintelligible to any person who is not authorized to access it;
- if we have taken subsequent measures to ensure that it is no longer likely that a high risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals will occur;
- if it would require a disproportionate effort (in which case we will notify you through public means of notification or a similar equally effective measure).
Personal data breach means a security breach that leads to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to personal data that is transmitted, stored, or processed in connection with the provision of our services.
