Why pinch your face?

If you’ve tried pinching your face, you know how it reacted. Maybe it turned red, maybe you were surprised at how it came alive!

We’ve introduced two new pinching methods into our watches and cycles, and here’s which ones and why!

The first method, which is perhaps a bit easier and which we introduced first, is the Pincement Jacquet method, named after Dr. Jacquet, who nearly 100 years ago began using pinching as a treatment for scars and wounds after World War I.

Over time, pinching also entered broader use and, of course, found its way into the cosmetics industry.

We practice this method very simply, quickly pinching the entire face with our thumb and index finger. The intensity of the pinch, of course, depends on the area of the face. On the neck and the area around the eye, pinch more gently and slowly. The remaining parts of the face can be pinched much more energetically and firmly. And as always, follow your inner feeling and watch your face’s reaction.

What are the benefits of pinching?

What are all the benefits of pinching?

  • instantly improved circulation
  • Rapid supply of oxygen and nutrients to the cells
  • faster elimination of toxins
  • reduction of facial swelling and under-eye puffiness
  • Warms up, resulting in faster recovery
  • enhances absorption of the preparation
  • wipes the fatigue from his face
  • Reduces skin roughness
  • Reduces the formation of blackheads and microcysts
  • accelerates the creation of young cells that renew the skin
  • Stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.

Pinching can also be used for acne, rosacea, redness, and minor scars.

The results of the pinching are immediately visible: the skin is plumper because it’s better blood-circulated, and the facial lines are softer and less pronounced.

How else can we pinch the face?

The second method is the Leroy method, named after Jacques Leroy, a newer technique modeled on the Jacquet method. This pinching technique is specifically designed for wrinkles and lines. Wrinkles and lines are pinched with the thumb and forefinger in a specific way.

Some suggest it’s better to do this method dry, while others say that adding oil to allow the finger to glide lightly is also good. Work in the direction of the wrinkle, gently pushing the thumb through it and softly pressing with the index finger. Three times in one spot, then move on.

This method is excellent for neck lines, nasolabial folds, and generally longer lines on the face.
